Progress does not exist in the terms that you consider it to, any more than time does. In each play, both individually and en masse, different problems are set up. Progress can be measured in terms of the particular ways in which those problems were solved or not solved.
Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

Regardless of how ill-founded it may seem on certain occasions, basically speaking the situation becomes less as you pare it down in your mind, rid it of significance in your mind, say things like: 'Well, after all it is not that bad yet,' or in other ways turn your attention otherwise. The main issue of course is not to project negatively into the future, for there you are borrowing trouble.
Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment

Your waking physical self is the dreamer, as far as your dreaming self is concerned: You are the dreamer it sends on its way.
Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

Meaningful work is important at any age. You cannot content the aged entirely with hobbies any more than you can the young, but meaningful work means work that also has the exuberance of play, and it is that playful quality that contains within itself great propensities of a healing and creative nature.
Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment

The emotion of love brings you closest to an understanding of the nature of All That Is. Love incites dedication, commitment. It specifies. You cannot, therefore, honestly insist that you love humanity and all people equally if you do not love one other person. If you do not love yourself, it is quite difficult to love another.
Nature of the Psyche

The love and cooperation that forms the basis of all life, however, shows itself in many ways. Sexuality represents one aspect, and an important one. In larger terms, it is as natural for a man to love a man, and for a woman to love a woman, as it is to show love for the opposite sex. For that matter, it is more natural to be bisexual. Such is the “natural” nature of the species.
Nature of the Psyche

All of the inner difficulties can be resolved by understanding that you form your own reality, and that your point of power is in the present.

The Nature of Personal Reality

Only repressed communication leads to violence. The natural force of love is everywhere within you, and the normal methods of communication are always meant to bring you in greater contact with your fellow creatures.
The Nature of Personal Reality

Regardless of what you have been told, there is no merit in self-sacrifice. For one thing it is impossible. The self grows and develops. It cannot be annihilated. Usually, self-sacrifice means throwing the "burden" of yourself upon someone else and making it their responsibility.
The Nature of Personal Reality

When you love others, you grant them their innate freedom and do not cravenly insist that they always attend you.
The Nature of Personal Reality

Love does not demand sacrifice. Those who fear to affirm their own being also fear to let others live for themselves.
The Nature of Personal Reality

We ask you—in the most scandalous manner possible—to realize one thing:that you are good, that you are blessed, and that there is nothing wrong with you.

A generation that hates war will not bring peace. A generation that loves peace will bring peace.

Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

Ideas have an electromagnetic reality. Beliefs are strong ideas about the nature of reality.

The Nature of Personal Reality

All of the world's problems also represent great challenges...The world needs every hand and eye, and cries out for expression of love and caring. To devote oneself to such a cause is far more praiseworthy than to steadily bemoan global problems with a sorrowful eye and a mournful voice.

The Way Toward Health

The universe actively loves itself and all of its parts. The world loves itself and all of its parts. It is not true that energy is neutral or indifferent. Energy is active, positive, propelled by what can almost be called an instantaneous pleasure with itself and its characteristics.Despite all concepts to the contrary, energy is indeed at its basis, love.
The Way Toward Health

Each person is a vital, conscious portion of the universe. Each person, simply by being, fits into the universe and into universal purposes in a way no one else can. Each person's existence sends its own ripples throughout time.

The Way Toward Health

You set challenges to be overcome, set goals to be reached, set up frameworks of experience through which you could develop, understand and fulfill certain abilities.

The Nature of Personal Reality

If you did not do what you did today, the entire world would be in some way different. Your acts ripple outward in ways that you do not understand, interacting with the experience of others, and hence forming world events. The most famous and the most anonymous person are connected through such a fabric, and an action seemingly small and innocuous can end up changing history as you understand it.

Nature of the Psyche

Consciousness, to be fully free, had to be endowed with unpredictability. All That Is had to surprise himself, itself, herself, constantly, through freely granting itself its own FREEDOM. This basic unpredictability then follows through on all levels of consciousness and being.

A death is but one night to the soul.

Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

Any inner journeys should allow you to find greater significance, beauty, and meaning in life as you know it now.

Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

One of the attitudes detrimental to good health is that of self-condemnation, or dislike of the self. Such attitudes are unfortunately sometimes fostered by parents, schools, and religions. Feelings of self-worth, self-esteem, and pleasure with one's abilities promote feelings of well-being, health, and exuberance.

The Way Toward Health

One belief can be dependent upon many others, each generating its own emotion and imaginative reality. The belief in illness itself depends upon a belief in human unworthiness, guilt and imperfection, for example.

The Nature of Personal Reality

In your realm of reality, there is no real freedom but the freedom of ideas, and there is no real bondage except for the bondage of ideas, for your ideas form your private and mass reality.

The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events

Imagination and emotions are the most concentrated forms of energy that you possess as physical creatures. Any strong emotion carries within it far more energy than, say, that required to send a rocket to the moon.

The Nature of Personal Reality

Each thought or emotion exists as an electromagnetic energy unit or as a combination of these under certain conditions, and often with the help of coordinate points, they emerge into the building blocks of physical matter.

The Seth Material

Do not follow those who tell you that you must do penance, in whatever form. Trust instead the spontaneity of your own being and the life that is your own. If you do not like where you are, then examine those beliefs that you have. Bring them out into the open. There is nothing within yourself to fear.

The Nature of Personal Reality

When you say: “I want to find myself,” you usually take it for granted that there is a completed, done, finished version of yourself that you have mislaid somewhere. When you think of finding God, you often think in the same terms. Now you are “around yourself” all of the time. You are ever becoming yourself...Both God and the psyche are constantly expanding — unutterable, and always becoming.

Nature of the Psyche

It is vital that you realize you are working with beliefs in your mind — that the real work is done there in the mind — and not look for immediate physical results. They will follow as surely and certainly as the "bad" results followed, and this must be a belief: that the good results will come. But the real work is done in the mind.

The Nature of Personal Reality

In larger terms one of my most important messages is simply this: "You are a multidimensional personality, and within you lies all the knowledge about yourself, your challenges and problems, that you will ever need to know... The greatest gift I can give you is to reaffirm the integrity of your own being.

The Nature of Personal Reality

It is erroneous to believe that spontaneity and discipline are mere opposites. Instead, true discipline is the result of true spontaneity. Value fulfillment of each and every element in life relies upon those spontaneous processes, and at their source is the basic affirmative love and acceptance of the self, the universe, and life's conditions.
The Way Toward Health

A devil is a superlative hallucination. The hallucination is created out of fear and of restriction. The devil idea is merely the mass projection of certain fears - mass in that it is produced by many people, but also limited in that there have always been those who rejected this principle. Devils and demons have no objective existence. They have always represented portions of mankind's own psychological reality that to some extent he had not assimilated but in a schizophrenic kind of expression projected instead outward from himself. If you believe in demons you will meet them — in this life as enemies, and in other realms of consciousness as devils or "evil spirits."

The world as you see it is a reflection of what you are, a reflection not in glass but in three dimensional reality. You project your thoughts, feelings, and expectations outward, then you perceive them as the outside reality. When it seems to you that others are observing you, you are observing yourself from the standpoint of your own projections.

The Nature of Personal Reality

A feeling of self-approval is absolutely necessary for any true sense of well-being; it is not virtuous in any way to put yourself down, or to punish yourself, because you do not feel you have lived up to your best behavior at any given time.

The Way Toward Health

The individual is hardly at the mercy of past events, for he changes them constantly. He is hardly at the mercy of future events, for he changes these not only before but after their happening. The past is as real as the future, no more or no less. For the past exists only as a pattern of electromagnetic currents within the mind and brain, and these constantly change. An individual's future actions are not dependent upon a concrete finished past, for such a past never existed.

The Seth Material

Your feelings are as natural a part of the environment as trees are. They have a great effect upon the weather...Your feelings have electromagnetic realities that rise outward, affecting the atmosphere itself.

The Nature of Personal Reality

Value fulfillment is a psychological and physical propensity that exists in each unit of consciousness, propelling it toward its own greatest fulfillment in such a way that its individual fulfillment also adds to the best possible development on the part of each other such unit of consciousness.

The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events

The soul or entity is itself the most highly motivated, most highly energized, and most potent consciousness-unit known in any universe... The soul is an open spiritual system, a powerhouse of creativity that shoots out in all directions.

Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

Do not personally give any more conscious consideration to events that you do not want to happen. Any such concentration, to whatever degree, ties you in with those probabilities, so concentrate upon what you want.

Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment

Initially, the world was a dream, and what you think of as waking consciousness was the dreaming consciousness. In that regard the earth's entire environment was built mentally, atom by conscious atom—each atom being initially formed by units of consciousness.

Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment

To "let go" is to trust the spontaneity of your own being, to trust your own energy and power and strength, and to abandon yourself to the energy of your own life. The word "abandon" itself may strike some readers as particularly strong, but each element of nature abandons itself to the life form. So does each atom of your body. To abandon yourself, then, to the power of your own life, is to rely upon the great forces within and yet beyond nature that gave birth to the universe and to you. One of the very first steps toward mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health is precisely that kind of abandonment, that kind of acceptance and affirmation.

The Way Toward Health

Man's "evil" exists because of his misunderstanding of his own ideals, because of the gap that seems to exist between the ideal and its actualization. Evil actions, in other words, are the result of ignorance and misunderstanding. Evil is not a force in itself.

Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment

It is imperative, for any peace of mind, that you believe in that existence of man’s innate good intent. That intent may be confused, poorly executed, tangled amid conflicts of beliefs, strangled by the bloody hands of murders and wars — and yet no man or woman ever loses it. That represents the hope of the species, and it has ever remained lit, like a bright light within each member of the species; and that good intent is handed down through the generations. It is far more potent, that illumination, than any hates or national grudges that may also be passed along.

Nature of the Psyche

Attending to the life that you have with love, beginning "where you are," will best allow you such a feeling for your own meaning. What do I mean by such attention? Attention to the moment as it is presented. Attention to the table of rich reality as it appears before you. Attention to the kind of person you are, and to the loving appreciation of your own uniqueness. To attend to your life in such a fashion brings you into a clearer communication with the inner action of your own existence.

Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment

The state of grace is a condition in which all growth is effortless, a transparent, joyful acquiescence that is a ground requirement of all existence...You were born into a state of grace. It is impossible for you to leave it. You will die in a state of grace whether or not special words are spoken for you, or water or oil is poured upon your head. You share this blessing with the animals and all other living things. You cannot "fall out of" grace, nor can it be taken from you.

The Nature of Personal Reality

On some occasions long-term illnesses are resolved suddenly through a dream. However, in most cases dreams prevent such chronic illnesses, providing through small therapeutics a constant series of minor but important personal revelations. That is, dreams are the best preventative medicine.

Nature of the Psyche

Life is not given by the parent, but through the parent — by LIFE itself, or All That Is,  and “with no strings attached.”...It konws itself to be indeed a beloved child of the universe, both acient and young at once, with an identity far beyond the annals of time.

The Way Toward Health

Life and death are but two faces of your eternal, ever-changing existence. Feel and appreciate the joy of your own being. You have lived before, and will again, and your new life, in your terms, springs out of the old, and is growing in the old and contained within it as the seed is already contained within the flower.

The Nature of Personal Reality

As long as you believe that violence must be met with violence you court it and its consequences. On individual terms, your own body and mind become die battleground, as does the physical body of the earth in mass terms

The Nature of Personal Reality

The inoculations themselves do little good overall, and they can be potentially dangerous, particularly when they are given to prevent an epidemic which has not in fact occurred. They may have specific value, but overall they are detrimental, confusing bodily mechanisms and setting off other biological reactions that might not show up for some time.
The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events

Love, as it is often experienced, allows an individual to take his sense of self-worth from another for a time, and to at least momentarily let the other's belief in his goodness supersede his own beliefs in lack of worth. Again, I make a distinction between this and a greater love in which two individuals, knowing their own worth, are able to give and to receive.
The Nature of Personal Reality

You make your own reality. There is no other rule. Knowing this is the secret of creativity.Your entire physical environment is the materialization of your beliefs. Your sense of joy, sorrow, health or illness — all of these are also caused by your beliefs.
The Nature of Personal Reality

When you do not know what to do, relax and tell yourself that other portions of yourself do know; they will take over. Give yourself some rest. Remind yourself that in many ways you are a very successful  person as you are. Success does not necessarily involve great intellect or great position or great wealth; it has to do with inner integrity. Remember that.
Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

Thoughts and beliefs do indeed bring about physical alterations. They can even — and often do — change genetic messages. There are diseases that people believe are inherited, carried from one generation to another by a faulty genetic communication. Obviously, many people with, for example, a genetic heritage of arthritis do not come down with the disease themselves, while others indeed are so afflicted. The difference is one of belief.

The suggestion that smoking will give you cancer is far more dangerous than the physical effects of smoking, and can give cancer to who people wrho might otherwise not be so affected. The various unfortunate effects that seem to be caused by smoking are not caused by the cigarettes so much, as by those psychic habits which cause a personality to seek security within such habitual patterns that become compulsive. When the inner patterns are broken the effects cease.
The Early Sessions-Book 3 of The Seth Material

A cure of any kind will never depend upon any given treatment. It will in all cases depend upon the belief on the part of the sufferer that he can be cured. It will depend upon his desire to be cured. It will depend upon the strength of the purpose that an illness serves. It will depend upon, in the last analysis, the individual's own ability to mobilize his own energies, for only these will effect a cure. Any physician of any kind can only help a sufferer mobilize these energies and direct them.
The Early Sessions-Book 4 of The Seth Material

An illness is a failure to solve a mental or psychological problem in the correct manner. As long as the illness continues the problem remains unsolved, and a vicious circle is maintained because of this unwholesome balance. The sufferer focuses upon the illness, therefore avoiding his task of functioning upon the problem. The energy that would be used to solve the problem instead is spent maintaining the illness. It is therefore necessary that an attempt be made as soon as possible to solve the problem, which of course must first be discovered by the ego, which has avoided it.
The Early Sessions-Book 4 of The Seth Material

Illness and suffering are not thrust upon you by God, or by All That Is, or by an outside agency. They are a byproduct of the learning process, created by you, in themselves quite neutral…Illness and suffering are the results of the misdirection of creative energy. Everyone within your system is learning to handle this creative energy; and since you are still in the process of doing so, you willoften misdirect it. The resulting snarl in activities automatically brings you back to inner questions.
The "Unknown" Reality Vol.2

One of the greatest detriments to mental and physical well-being is the unfortunate belief that any unfavorable situation is bound to get worse instead of better. That concept holds that any illness will worsen, any war will lead to destruction, that any and all known dangers will be encountered, and basically that the end result of mankind's existence is extinction. All of those beliefs impede mental and physical health, erode the individual's sense of joy and natural safety, and force the individual to feel like an unfortunate victim of exterior events that seem to happen despite his own will or intent.
The Way Toward Health

You are what you think, not what you eat — and to a large extent what you think about what you eat is far more important. What you think about your body, health, and illness will determine how your food is used.
The Nature of Personal Reality

You must be aware of the contents of your own reasoning mind. Find the ambiguities. Regardless of the nature of your beliefs they are indeed made flesh and material. The miracle of your being cannot escape itself. Your thoughts blossom into events. If you think the world is evil, you will meet with events that seem evil. There are no accidents in cosmic terms, or in terms of the world as you know it. Your beliefs grow as surely in time and space as flowers do.

The Nature of Personal Realit

All creativity and consciousness is born in the quality of play, as opposed to work. All creativity is basically joyful. It is play in the highest sense of the term, and it is always alive with motion.Play is, in fact, one of the most practical methods of survival, both individually and for the species. Within its framework lie the secrets of creativity, and within the secrets of creativity lie the secrets of being.

The "Unknown" Reality Vol.2

No chance encounter of physical elements alone, under any circumstances, could produce consciousness — or the conditions that would then make consciousness possible. Consciousness formed matter. Each atom and molecule has its own consciousness. Consciousness and matter and energy are one, but consciousness initiates the transformation of energy into matter.

Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment

Again we return to those emotional attitudes and ideas that automatically promote health and healing. Each individual is a good person, an individiialized portion of universal energy itself. Each person is meant to express his or her own characteristics ancl abilities. Life means energy, power, and expression. Those beliefs, if taught early enough, would form the most effective system of preventative medicine ever known.

The Way Toward Health

Living is easy. It is safe and reliable because it is easy.

Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment

Each emotion and thought has its own electromagnetic reality, completely unique. Each thought and emotion spontaneously exists as a simple or complex electromagnetic unit. The electromagnetic energy units(EE units)are formed spontaneously from the electromagnetic reality of feelings emitted from each consciousness, as, for example, breath automatically goes out from the physical body. EE units are, then, emanations from consciousness.

Telepathy is the communication of thoughts or emotions between minds, regardless of distance. You are a sender and a receiver. Because ideas have an electromagnetic reality, beliefs, because of their intensity, radiate strongly. Telepathy belongs to the inner senses. It operates constantly at a subconscious level, as a basis for all language and communication. Without telepathy no language would be intelligible.

The power of the universe is a personal one. When your intent is clear, events fall into place, from the most minute to the most momentous, that bring your desire to pass.

Poor health is indeed caused mainly by habitual destructive thought patterns which directly affect the physical system, because of the particular range within the electromagnetic system in which they fall. The bad health does not occur first, resulting in unhealthy thoughts. It is indeed the other way around. For these thoughts set up charges that oftentimes cannot be used effectively by the physical organism, and when excesses of such charges occur an illness develops...Illnesses must be treated primarily by changing the basic mental habits, for unless this is done the trouble will erupt time and time again in different guises.

The Early Sessions-Book 4 of The Seth Material

Your ideas about your own health are even more important than those steps you take to promote it.

The Way Toward Health

Concentrate upon the present moment — but more, concentrate upon the most pleasant aspects of the present moment.
The Way Toward Health

To change the world for the better, you must begin by changing your own life. There is no other way.

Every time you affirm the rightness of your own existence, you help others. Your mental states are part of the planet's psychic atmosphere.

You cannot love your neighbor, in fact, until you love yourself, and if you believe that it is wrong to love yourself, then you are indeed unable to love anyone else.

If the ideal of loving your neighbor like yourself seems remote, you will at least absolutely refrain from killing your neighbor – and your neighbor is any other person on the face of the planet.

Each person alive helps paint the living picture of civilization as it exists at any given time, in your terms. Be your own best artist. Your thoughts, feelings and expectations are like the living brush strokes with which you paint your corner of life's landscape.

If you do your best in your own life, then you are indeed helping to improve the quality of all life.

Your thoughts are as real as snowflakes or raindrops or clouds. They mix and merge with the thoughts of others, to form man's living scape, providing the vast mental elements from which physical events will be formed.

In all cases without exception, fear leads to defective constructions, and the cycle is vicious. That which is feared is feared so strongly and concentrated upon so intensely that it is attracted rather than repelled.

There is nothing in mental or physical reality that you ever need fear, for you are filled with the vitality of All That Is, and it protects you. You must simply allow it to do so.

When you fear the worst will happen, you often are showing quite real faith in a backwards fashion, for with no direct evidence before your eyes, you heartily believe it will occur.

Conscious fear is usually the main hindrance as far as data from the inner senses is concerned.

Until you are honest with yourself and become consciously aware of yourself, you cannot honestly relate with others; you will project upon them your own fears and prejudices.

Organize your reality according to your strength; organize your reality according to your playfulness; according to your dreams; according to your joy; according to your hopes—and THEN you can help those who organize their reality according to their fears.

I may say that Buddhism does indeed come closer in essence to reality than other religions. However, the Buddhists either have not gone far enough, or have gone too far, according to your viewpoint. If they have gone too far, then they have been so concerned with inner reality that they have become too tolerant of physical disease and disasters. If they have not gone far enough, then they have not followed through sufficiently so that these physical disasters could truly be suffered without pain.

Whenever you are trying to rid yourself of a dilemma, make sure that you do not concentrate your attention upon it instead. This acts to cut out other data, and to further intensify your focus upon your difficulty. When you break that focus the problem is solved.
The Nature of Personal Reality

Any true progress is mental progress. You must change ideas if you would change the world. If you would end war, you must change yourself. It is the idea of war, then that you must fight.
The Early Sessions Book 7 of The Seth Material

A belief in nothing is the most confining belief of all.
Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment

In the terms used there is no karma to be paid off as punishment unless you believe that there are crimes for which you must pay.In larger terms there is no cause and effect either, though these are root assumptions in your reality.
The Nature of Personal Reality

Your identity is simply not dependent upon your psychological or biological sexuality. Your sexual characteristics represent a portion of your personhood... Your sexual qualities are a part of your nature, but they do not define it.
The Nature of the Psyche

Lesbianism, homosexuality, and heterosexuality are valid expressions of man's bisexual nature. The great human qualities of love, strength, compassion, intellect and imagination do not belong to one sex or the other.
The Nature of the Psyche

Your dreaming psyche is awake.
Nature of the Psyche

Miracles are nature unimpeded.
The Way Toward Health

Often illness is a means to a desired end--a method of achieving something a person thinks may not be achieved otherwise.

One man might use it to achieve success. One might use it to achieve failure. A person might use it as a means of showing pride or humility, of looking for attention or escaping it. Illness is often another mode of expression, but nowhere does science mention that illness might have its purpose, or its groups of purposes.

Each person's experience of a painful nature is also registered on the part of what we will call the world's mind. Each, say, failure, or disappointment, or unresolved problem that results in suffering, becomes a part of the world's experience……In that regard, each person lives his or her life privately, and yet for  all of humanity. Each person tries out new challenges, new circumstances, new achievements from a unique viewpoint, for himself or herself, and for the entire mass of humanity as well.

Men and women are born, however, with curiosity about all sensations, and about all possible life experiences. They are thirsty for experience of all  kinds. Their curiosity is not limited to the pretty or the mundane. Men and women are born with a desire to push beyond the limits— to, in quotes: "explore where no man has ever gone before". Men and women are born with a sense of drama, a need of excitement. Life itself is excitement. The quietest mood rides the thrust of spectacular molecular activity.

Any heightened sensation, pleasant or unpleasant, has a stimulating effect upon consciousness to some degree. It is a strong awareness of activity and life. Even when the stimulus may be extremely annoying or humiliatingly unpleasant, certain portions of the psychological framework accept it undiscriminatingly because it is a vivid sensation. This acquiesence to even painful stimuli is a basic part of the nature of consciousness and a necessary one.

You come into the condition you call life, and pass out of it. In between you encounter a lifetime.
Nature of the Psyche

The problems that a country must work out merely represent the problems set by the personality inhabitants for themselves, and the country is merely the framework of such activities.
The Early Sessions Book 1 of The Seth Material

In the deepest of terms, nothing is wrong.
The Way Toward Health

My message is, simply, you are blessed because you are. You can be joyful because you are. You have a reason here because you are here.

There should never be a word in any language that means repentance. There should only be a word that means, I bless. You only need repentance when you do not know joy.

Time as you experience it is an illusion caused by your own physical senses.

The past, present and future exist simultaneously.

The past is seldom what you remember it to be, for you have already rearranged it from the instant of any given event. The past is being constantly recreated by each individual as attitudes and associations change. This is an actual recreation, not a symbolic one.

Enjoyment of an art is very therapeutic, and its creation springs from an exquisite wedding of the conscious and unconscious minds.

You can rid yourself of any illness when you realize that you create and draw such illness to yourself. What you fear most, you draw to yourselves.

While such situations as illness are chosen by the personality, the individual is always left to work out its own solution. Complete recovery, illness, or early death are not preordained on the part of the entity. The problem is a challenge set up by the entity for one of its own personalities, but the outcome is up to the personality involved.

You need to learn the power of thought and emotion. Once you realize that your thoughts form reality, then you are no longer a slave to events.

True self-knowledge is indispensable for health and vitality. The recognition of the truth about the self simply means that you must first find out what you think about yourself subconsciously. If it is a good image, build upon it. If it is a poor one, recognize it as only the opinion you have held of yourself and not an "absolute state".

All other emotions are based on love, and in one way or another they all relate to it, and all are methods of returning to it and expanding its capacities.
The Nature of Personal Reality

Left alone, hate does not last. Often it is akin to love, for the hater is attracted to the object of his hatred by deep bonds. It can also be a method of communication, but it is never a steady constant state, and will automatically change if not tampered with.
The Nature of Personal Reality

The outbreak of violence is often the result of a built-in sense of powerlessness…Hate, left alone then, does not erupt into violence. Hatred brings a sense of power and initiates communication and action.
The Nature of Personal Reality

To deny the existence of hate is to deny love.
The Nature of Personal Reality

The loved one draws your best from you. In his or her eyes you see what you can be. In the other's love you sense your potential.
The Nature of Personal Reality

Love is of course always changing. There is no one state of deep mutual attraction in which two people are forever involved. As an emotion love is mobile, and can change quite easily to anger or hatred, and back again.
The Nature of Personal Reality

First of all, love always involves freedom. If a man says he loves you and yet denies you your freedom, then you often hate him. Yet because of his words you do not feel justified in the emotion. This sort of emotional tangle itself can lead to continued entanglements through various lives.”
Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

Only when you operate from your own stance can you help others to the best of your ability. To anticipate danger, or to imaginatively take on the troubles of others robs you of the very energy with which you could help them.

It is highly important that you do not concentrate your main attention in that area of experience with which you are least satisfied. This acts as a deepening of hypnotic suggestion. Just reminding yourself of your other accomplishments will by itself operate in a constructive fashion, even if nothing else is done. Such focus of attention on positive aspects automatically pulls your energy away from the problem. It also builds up your own sense of worth and power as you are reminded of adequate performance at other levels of experience.
The Nature of Personal Reality

I want to emphasize that each version of All That Is is unique. Each has its purpose, though that purpose cannot be easily defined in your terms. Many people ask, for example: "What is the purpose of my life?" Meaning: "What am I meant to do?" but the purpose of your life, and each life, is in its being. That being may include certain actions, but the acts themselves are only important in that they spring out of the essence of your life, which simply by being is bound to fulfill its purposes.
Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment

Your affirmation of yourself is one of your greatest strengths.
The Nature of Personal Reality

Affirmation means saying "yes" to yourself and to the life you lead, and to accepting your own unique personhood.
The Nature of Personal Reality

You must first love yourself before you love another.
The Nature of Personal Reality

The body's health is the expression of inner well-being. Poor health is an expression also, and it may serve many purposes. It goes without saying that some people become ill rather than change their activities and their environments. They may also become ill, of course, to force themselves to make such changes.
The Way Toward Health

When people become ill, worried or fearful, one of the first symptoms of trouble is a lack of pleasure, a gradual discontinuance of playful action, and an over-concentration upon personal problems. In other words, illness is often first marked by a lack of zest or exuberance.
The Way Toward Health

In regard to your illness, no healing of any sort can ever take place without inner understanding and psychic comprehension. My interests are those of an educator. Any healing brought about from the outside may be advantageous in the short run, and I would be only too willing to help in a situation involving illness, particularly of a serious variety, even though the advantages of my help would be surface ones. My potions and pills are not those that come in a doctor’s black bag. However, I can indeed do more, in that my pills are pills of knowledge, which are indeed somewhat difficult to digest.
The Early Sessions-Book 3

The only revolution is a revolution of thought. The only changes made in your history, and in your nation, will be made through the change of your thoughts, and not through violent action…You cannot change your world from without, for you form it from within.
Conversations With Seth, Book 1

Gently remind yourself: "I am an excellent person, It is good and safe for me to express my own abilities, for in doing so I express the energy of the universe itself.
The Way Toward Health

It may sound very simplistic to tell you that you must have sunny thoughts as well as rays of the physical sun in order to be healthy — but sunny thoughts are as biologically necessary to your well-being as are the rays of the sun that shines in the sky.
The Way Toward Health

Be thankful for what you do have, and it will be increased.
The Personal Sessions-Book 2 of the Deleted Seth Material

Objects are the symbols. You usually think of them simply as realities. You think of thoughts, images, and dreams sometimes as being symbolic of other things, but the truth is that physical objects are themselves symbols. They are the exterior symbols that stand for inner experience. Any physical ailment is symbolic of an inner reality or statement. Your entire life is a statement in physical terms, written upon time as you understand it.
Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

All structure is formed by consciousness. Defined in your terms, a fragment is a consciousness not as developed as your own. The living portions of nature are the result of your own creativity, projections and fragments of your own energy;  energy that comes to you from All That Is and goes outward from you, forming its own image manifestations as you form yours. The earth that you know is formed naturally and spontaneously from your own projected psychic energy.
Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

This material will take its place in the conceptual and emotional life of Western civilization, and finally will make its way throughout the world. New ideas are not accepted easily. When they take fire however, they literally sweep through the universe.
The Early Sessions-Book 2

The feeling of joy changes the objects themselves, in that the perceiver sees them in a far brighter light. He creates the objects far more vividly and with greater clarity. In feedback fashion, the environment then seems to reinforce his joy.
Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

Your lifetime, you see, is basically not important in terms of years, but in terms of intensity and value fulfillment.
The Early Sessions-Book 8

There is nothing to prevent a personality from investing a portion of his own energy into an animal form. This is not transmigration of souls. It does not mean that a man can be reincarnated in an animal. It does mean that personalities can send a portion of their energy into various kinds of form.
Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

The Nature of Personal Reality

Seth Speaks: The Eternal Validity of the Soul

Enjoyment is a weapon. The man who is capable of joy is capable, to a large extent, of changing his world. Joy is the muscle of action, and without it there would be no action.
The Early Sessions-Book 3

It is your duty, and the duty of every individual insofar as it is within his power, to maintain his own psychic health and vitality; according to the strength of this vitality he will protect himself and others. Negative expectations, far from protecting either the individual or those with whom he comes in contact, will actually, to a greater or lesser degree, turn as destructive as any epidemic.
The Early Sessions-Book 3

The best thing you can do for yourself, or your loved ones, or the world, is to stop worrying, and hence release all of the negative thoughts therein generated.
The Personal Sessions-Book 5 of the Deleted Seth Material

Help given resentfully is little help. It does not help the giver or the receiver to any strong degree, and may in fact harm both. Help given spontaneously out of love is the only kind of real help to giver or receiver
The Personal Sessions-Book 2 of the Deleted Seth Material

Physical objects cannot exist unless they exist in a definite perspective and space continuum. But each individual creates his own space continuum . . . I want to tie this in with the differences you  seem to see in one particular object. Each individual actually creates an entirely different object, which his own physical senses then perceive.
